Privacy

Only what a business connects. For email, that is the mail in the mailboxes the owner picks: who it was from and to, the subject and the message. For phone and chat, the call and message records those systems keep. We also keep the owner's account details and the settings they choose.

By default we read the last 90 days. We read further back, up to 3 years, only when the owner turns on “Import the last 3 years” after reading what it involves. We record who turned it on and when.

To show the owner the enquiries that were not followed up, the clients who have gone quiet, and the replies worth sending, and to draft those replies. Every message is a draft the owner chooses to send. We never send anything on anyone's behalf.

Nobody else's business can see it. We do not sell it. It is stored with the hosting providers that run BrightMesh, and read only to do the work above. We do not send older mail brought in by the 3-year import to any outside AI service.

Each business sets how long we keep its information. We apply that setting by the date each message was sent, not the date we brought it in.

When the 3-year import is on, the older mail is kept until the one-off look through it is finished, plus 30 days, and then the business's setting applies to it like everything else. A business can choose to keep its mail with clients for longer.

Your information is stored on our servers. Stored email is not yet encrypted at rest; we say so here and when the 3-year import is offered.

A business owner can disconnect any source at any time and ask us to erase everything we hold for their business. Anyone whose information a business holds with us can ask that business, or us, to erase it, or to stop it being used to contact them. Email support@brightmesh.ai with “Privacy request” in the subject and we will reply within 30 days.
